Aging disrupts spatiotemporal regulation of germline stem cells and niche integrity
Time-lapse Microscopy, Fluorescent Microscopy, Wet-Lab, MATLAB
In this publication, I contributed to the identification of a decline C. elegans' germline fecundity in early adulthood, linked to disrupted Notch signaling and age-related changes in the DTC/niche. I created and analyzed DTC data and visualizations using MATLAB, focusing on active RNA transcription, and utilized fluorescent and live imaging microscopes to support my work.
The Magnetic Harmonic Oscillator
Python, SciPy/Pandas/Matplotlib, Circuit Design, Electronic testing
This exploration into fundamental electromagnetic laws aims to support theoretical results of electromagnetic induction and utilizes a magnetic harmonic oscillator and large coil to do so. We designed the physical experiment from our derived theoretical basis, collected extensive data, and utilized adaptive fit optimization and predictive modeling techniques to assess our data with theoretical results.
Calorimetric Efficiency of the Thermoelectric Peltier Device
Python, SciPy/Pandas/Matplotlib, Electronic testing
This experimental study investigates the Peltier effect, where electromotive forces induce temperature gradients in thermoelectric devices. We designed and executed precise measurements of temperature and electrical parameters to evaluate device efficiency relative to theoretical thermodynamic models. Data analysis using curve fitting and predictive techniques validated performance and highlighted key loss mechanisms impacting efficiency.
Research beyond STEM
The Japanese Impact on Vietnamese Revolutionism, 1905-1945
This research examines how Japanese colonial influence shaped Vietnamese nationalism and revolution from 1905 to 1945, focusing on the changing views of key figures and the impact on the August Revolution of 1945.
Transforming Grief into Art: Ravel's Commemorative Journey in Le Tombeau de Couperin
This research examines Maurice Ravel's Le Tombeau de Couperin (1914-1917), exploring its blend of Baroque influences and French Impressionism. It analyzes the themes of commemoration and memory, focusing on how Ravel’s stylistic and technical choices reflect post-World War I sentiment and personal tragedy.
